HYUNDAI Alcomax is the brand name for the new technology Aluminum Composite Panel. The panel is a Composite consisting of two layers of aluminum skin sandwiching a thermoplastic core in a continuous
co-extrusion process.
The outer surface of panel is coated with more than 70-percent PVdF kynar 500 fluorocarbon coatings. The lower aluminum skin is coated with polyester or chromate treated. The product is very slim and about two times as light as the same intensity of aluminum panels. Moreover, Alcomax Aluminium Composite Panels has a high flatness, durability, adiabatic effect and soundproofing.
Standards
HYUNDAI Alcomax ACP, to be adopted in world-wide significant projects like towers, hospitals and airports, has met these standards:
● BS (British Standard) for fire safety
● NATA (National Association of Test Authorities Australia) for fire and smoke safety
● ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) for PVDF coating finish
● AAMA (American Architectural Manufacturers Association) for PVDF coating finish)
● KS (Korean Standard) for general testing
Dimension
● Panel thickness: 4mm(standard), 3~8mm available upon customer's request
● Aluminium thickness: 0.3 ~ 1.0mm
● Panel width: 1250mm (recommended), 1020mm, 1575mm,
● Panel length: No limit (4000mm is recommended for convenient delivery and handling
Coating: Kynar 500 PVDF and fluoropolymer in both metallic and non-metallic to polyesters and acrylics
Core layer: Anti-toxic low density polyethylene (0.92 g/cm2)
Rear side: Aluminium coated with chromate or polyester
Weight: For 4mm ACP with 0.5mm aluminium both side is 5.44 kg/m2
HYUNDAI Alcomax ACP FR (Fire Retardant Aluminium Composite Panel) features on its non-combustible PE core, and becomes more and more popular and important to the high-grade architecture which request safe, non-toxic and green materials.
Hyundai Alcomax ACP FR is:
● Low poisonous non-combustible product that generates no poisonous (Halogen) gas
● No generated carcinogenic substance such as halogen, antimony, etc.
● Make char (carbon layer) status by the N/P synergy effect; low energy loss rate
● Obtained non-combustible status used 30-40% non-combustrible materials
● Minimized non-combustible materialsin compound
● Minimized the mechanical material status decreasing
HYUNDAI Alcomax ACP FR (Fire Retardant Aluminium Composite Panel) do not emit toxic gases or halogen gases as the compound of polyethylene resin and inorganic filler. They also show the excellent flame retardant property and very low smoke property. In addition, they can be easily processed through the single extruder.
Their mechanical property and adhesion with adhesive layer are well balanced.
